Waking up with Tom Lanier is a High Country habit. Tom gets you up and out with a smile, whatever the weather. Local news with David Blanks, local, dependable weather forecasts, sports with Mike Kelly, trouble spots on the roads, closings and cancellations--and the best mix of songs from yesterday and today--Mix 102.3 has what The High Counry wants in the morning.

Mix 102.3 is the Listen at Work station. Throughout the day, if there's breaking news you need to know, Mix will keep you on top of things. In the office, at home and in the car keep your radio tuned to MIX 102.3 FM for the extra long sets of the best music from yesterday and today.

Check out The RETRO 80s LUNCH weekdays from noon til one. Polyester and platform shoes among your favorites?? Listen to April Bostian on your drive home for the 70s AT FIVE! You may find yourself doing "The Hustle" "Freaking out" or "smoking in the boys room!"

Our association with the UNC Tar Heel Sports Network is a long-standing one, and during our exclusive wall-to-wall coverage of the ACC Basketball Tournament one can find The High Country glued to their radios. The relationship with Woody Durham and the Tar Heel sports crew has blossomed over the years. We are also Western North Carolina's affilate for the Carolina Panthers.

Kick off those shoes, chill the wine, and relax a little. Romantic songs have made a stunning comeback into the pop and soft rock charts, and Steve Frank is on the radio in the High Country with his great collection of New Pop. MIX 102.3 is proud to bring this wonderful dash of spice to listeners, at a time when they can just kick back and enjoy, Fridays at 8:00pm. Many of the old favorites have once again become chart busters and are heard in Mix 102.3 FM's regular programming of the Best MIX of favorites from yesterday and today. The music business has been taken by surprise by the "quiet storm" of New Pop: new stars with new songs, such as Michael Buble, Norah Jones, Harry Connick, Jr. and Peter Cincotti, and older jazz and show standards that have been re-worked by the likes of Rod Stewart, Debbie Boone (remember her?), Natalie Cole and Diana Krall.

We're a little Motown, a little country, a little soul... From lite jazz to soft rock... We're your mix, The BEST MIX... MIX 102.3 FM.
